Abide with me....Abide in me

In my Fathers' house there are many mansions. But did you know you can live in me NOW. I have a place for you and a space for you. I will never kick you out of my home but many do leave me- pulled away by the loves and seductions of the world.

In me there is peace, joy, meaning, protection, identity, safety, delight. All that you seek. All that humans want.

"Why then do so few come, Lord? My heart wondered.

The way is narrow. And requires that you come with nothing and give me all. If you walk into my Kingdom, holding your own agenda, desires, and will, I will not be your Lord and your will be your own god.

"But what in all of life is more wonderful than you? How can anyone say NO? To you? You are amazing...full of love, beautiful, too incredible to describe.....?"

I felt a loving chuckle. "It is the Holy Spirit who has revealed this to you....and it is a gift. Your faith is precious to me. But I always want ALL of you, dear one....hold nothing back. You can trust me."

I don't ask you to trust in man, I ask you to trust ME because as you trust me- you are released from the cares of this world, and come into my perfect rest. Cast your cares on me- for **I ** care for you. Many do not care for you. Most do not. Most care for themselves and the things they crave. But I do truly care for you. Your needs, your thoughts, your heart...are all infinitely precious to my heart and I truly love you. If you can grasp my love, it will be natural and easy for you to trust me, for you will understand that I have always known you and always loved you.

A verse comes to my heart:

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.

They will be like a tree planted by the water

that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when heat comes;

its leaves are always green.

It has no worries in a year of drought

and never fails to bear fruit.”

(Jeremiah 17:7)
